After loosing my little job as a student I could no longer afford to go to the gym so I tried to cancel my subscription many times. On the website it gave the option to cancel for financial reasons, I clicked it, the request did not go through.

I explained my situation by email, and they still wouldn't let me out of the subscribtion.

This is imprisonment, how do I have to keep paying for something that I am not using. And on top of that the service i received at the club was not good.

My card never worked, everyday I had to explain my card situation to the new person at the helpdesk so they could buzz me in.

I paid €15 in yanga water, because the kiosk wouldn't let me pay €5. So Basic fit stayed with €10 of mine, because I only used the yanga water the 1 month that I attended the gym.

I never got my money back. I told them this, they just did not answer.

When someone pays for something it is because they are paying for a service, an experience, safety, or use of something.

I am not making use of any of those things from basic fit, but they still want me to pay.

WORST ORGANIZATION EVER!

BASIC FIT IS A SCAM!

Every other gym I have been to I just paid monthly and the month that I did not attend I did not have to pay. It makes sense since I am not making use of their service and equipment that month.

BUT IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY WITH BASIC FIT, I AM SURE IF YOU DROP DEAD IN ONE OF THEIR CLUBS...THEY WOULD THROW YOUR BODY ON THE STREET AND SEND YOUR FAMILY A BILL FOR THE REST OF THE SUBSCRIPTION.

THEY HAVE NO SHAME!

Gewenste oplossing

Stop trying to steal my money.

Demanding money when no service is given or when one is not making use of services is theft.

    Thank you for making your complaint known, we really appreciate this.

    We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience regarding your cancellation!

    You have concluded an annual contract based on at least 52 weeks. As a result, the first possible end date of your membership is: 15-10-2022.

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to terminate your membership before the end date mentioned above. This is only possible for medical reasons or when moving (provided that there is no Basic-Fit location within 5 km). You have agreed to the General Terms and Conditions during registration.

    Since not all membership fees have been paid, we have transferred your membership to collection agency Snijder Incasso. We kindly request that you contact them.
