De klacht

Media markt Arena refused to fix my Panasonic printer due to its own INTERNAL reasons. Printer is STILL covered under legal guarentee. Media Markt refuses to supply me another paralel printer instead. Media markt offers me only one option: to give back the original sale-money.

I will now need to pay from MY pocket to buy a new printer since the printer was bought with a big discount at the time.

If Media Markt chooses not to fix a product still under warentee, its not legal (as per the ConsumentenBond) to ask the customer to pay for this decition.

De oplossing

New paraler-printer or same one (new or re-manufactured. Its still sold)
Media markt claims no paralel printer to be found but my printer is a normal average all in one laser printer. I can find pleanty like it..

    the Samsung SCX-3405W is now being sold there.
    It is a comparative printer which is in the same productrange or even lower.

    Dear Mr. Pakvis,
    offcourse it has slightly better specifications. Technology is like that. Almost 2 years passed since I bought the Panasonic.
    If you were looking for a printer in the same product range - the SCX-3405W in 2013 is the lowest in the current time and comparable to what I bought 2 years ago.

    Dear Sir / Madam Davidov, The consumer law indicates that within the economic life we are responsible for a non-compliant product. If a product is non-compliant we will repair your product, if repair is not possible we need to exchange the product for an equivalent product. If repair and exchange isn’t possible we have to cancel the purchase. The printer you specify we do not see as an equivalent model. With this reason we have chosen cancel the purchase.Sincerely,

    Sorry,I dont agree . If the solution you provide is not enough for the customer to continue using the product he bought by media markt, than something is not working right.
    Your solution serves only Mediamarkt.

    Since repair is not possible and there is no equivalent model availible we have chosen to cancel the purchase for a full refund.We see this as the best solution for your complaint.Sincerely,
