Parcel missing and investigation

Gewenste oplossing

Hello, my parcel was from South Korea in August. PostNL told me that I should go to a pick up point but I checked it very late so I could not pick it up. Hence, they told me it would be returned to South Korea but it is not returned yet. So the sender went to the post office in South Korea and saw where the parcel is right now. Apparently, the parcel is still in the Netherlands so I called PostNL customer service and they told me South Korea post office should do investigation in order to find where the parcel is right now.
My parcel is still in the Netherlands but I cannot find where it excatly is.
If that is missing, can I still get a refund for my parcel as well? The parcel was about 255 dollars and it is written on the parcel.

    Unfortunately I have not been able to trace your package. Since I cannot tell you when your package will arrive, I advise you to contact the sender. As the client of the shipment, they can request an official investigation at their own postal organisation.
